Erldunda is an excellent Roadhouse stop with budget priced unpowered sites (they way things should be). It is situated at the intersection of Lasserter and Stuart Highways. Lasserter Highway leads to that well known iconic rock which I think people all over the world recognise instantly. Not for me though, been there and done that.

Todays feature was entering the land of red sand and Desert Oaks. This part of the Stuart Highway goes through the edge of the Simpson desert, famous for its longitudinal red sand dunes. It is the red of the Aboriginal flag.
